"The Problem"

I don't think it's cool that I have not been kind enough to update my blog and share some more art with you guys. All of my other super cool blogger friends are super rad cuz they update pretty moderately ( Shawn, Chloe, Gabriel...)
By the way, I just want to say again how greatful I am to all of you guys that you come and visit my site and give me such great words of encouragement.
It means a helluva lot to me to get such great feedback from such wonderfully talented artists such as yourselves.
Thats one of the great things I love about the whole community based artist thing, it means a lot to me!
I have been quite busy lately working on a short film for the past half year that is nearing completion that I plan on submitting to the Spike and Mike sick and twisted festival of animation.
The film is called "The Problem" and I tried to upload a couple of pencil tests onto Youtube to link to my site, but some of them I guess are a little too PG-13 for their terms of use because they were flagged and deleted!!!!!
So, here is the least offensive still from the cartoon just to give you a little heads up on what it will be about....

I can assure you all that it won' be as tasteless as this pic entails it will be...Heheheh.
I looked at a lot of old Rod Scribner animation from Clampett cartoons as mega inspiration.
Last night I completed the most complicated piece of animation from the whole damn picture and am just 3 scenes away from finishing up.
As soon as it is up I will make sure all of you guys get a chance to check it out!
By the way, does anybody out there know of any other sites besides YouTube that Provide free hosting for Videos?
If anybody knows please let me know!!!!

Thanks for mentioning me, Danny, I should update more often too. I feel the same as you, this internet thing is amazing, who'd think some decades ago that we would ever be able to communicate to other people who share our interests around the world? I can't stop being thrilled knowing it's possible to go to some super famous cartoonist such as John K and ask him stuff!
Anyway, that still amost made me fall off the chair, haha! If you want to host pencil tests I really don't know where you could put them besides youtube and google video. When you finish the whole thing you'll have to let us see it. Maybe you could send it to some site that hosts random funny stuff, such as ebaum's world. And if you and your wife make cartoons shouldn't you consider having your own site to put your work and show to potential clients?
Bye for now, good luck with your cartoon!

Ok, forget that one:

By uploading a file to Yourfilehost you give permission for the owners of Yourfilehost to publish your file in any of their projects or publications. You release all rights to the file, and give full permission to Yourfilehost and its associates to use and publish the file in anyway they wish. You will receive no money or credits for the file being used in any such way.

Sorry for the triple post...

Well, that still/frame looks pretty damn good to me! I like your drawing style a lot! Can't wait to see it animated! Especially if you can pull off the Clampett/Scribner style (which is my favorite). Plus, cartoons about masterbation are always good for a laugh. Good luck finishing the project. I think it's gonna be great!

Your pal,

Thanks you guys!
You totally made my day, seriously!
I totally agree with you gabriel about having my own site. It would be so much better for potential clients.
I have actually been using my blogger account as a makeshift website because I am so dimwitted that I don't even know the first step in creating my own webpage.
My wife has been on my case about that for a while now. But we are now more than ever going to look into how to go about doing that, especially now with the completion of my film.
Shawn, you are a perennial source of inspiration to me!
I wish I was HALF as good as you are!
I wouldn't even know where to begin making watercolors look as snazzy as acrylic...
THAT is pure talent!!!!
